HVAC Apprentice

Summary:
Looking to increase your HVAC experience and learn on the job with a licensed heating/cooling technician? Develop skills as you perform general HVAC work, including installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential homes and commercial buildings. A good grasp of mathematical concepts will help our apprentice to understand blueprints and HVAC installation design. Outstanding communication and customer service skills are essential. Must be able to carry out instructions with and without supervision. Two years of HVAC experience is required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of schooling
  • Familiarity with HVAC equipment (two years of experience preferred)
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Overtime is available but not mandatory
  • Comply with background, criminal, and driving record checks

Pay Range:
$16 to $19 per hour, based on experience

Lead HVAC Installer with Comp Card (or Eligibility)

Summary:
Qualified lead installer is responsible for the complete and satisfactory installation of new and retrofit HVAC equipment and accessories, sheet metal duct systems (including sealing and insulation), radiant heat floor systems, low voltage wiring, gas lines from meter to HVAC equipment, and other work as required. Must be knowledgeable with all HVAC practices and codes. Oversees the work of technicians to ensure work is performed correctly. Communicate with customers to answer questions and resolve problems.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of Minneapolis or St. Paul comp card (gas, warm air, hot water, or refrigeration) OR the eligibility to test for certification (minimum of two years of schooling and four years of experience)
  • Lead HVAC field experience
  • Understanding of installation layout, design, and fabrication
  • Sheet metal experience
  • Experienced in ductwork assembly and installation
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
  • Ownership of basic hand tools
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Overtime is available but not mandatory
  • Comply with background, criminal, and driving record check

Pay Range:
Up to $35 per hour ($10,000 signing bonus if hired with comp card. Permanent $2/hour increase with each comp card earned.)

Lead Boiler Installer with Comp Card (or Eligibility)

Summary:
Experience with a broad range of equipment including both residential and light commercial high efficiency boilers. Be able to analyze and diagnose boiler system problems. Provide suggestions for improved safety, performance, and efficient operation. Complete all necessary repairs and verify proper equipment operation. Oversee the work of technicians to ensure work is performed correctly. Communicate with customers to answer questions and resolve problems

Qualifications:

  • Possession of Minneapolis or St. Paul comp card (gas, warm air, hot water, or refrigeration) OR the eligibility to test for certification (minimum of two years of schooling and four years of experience)
  • Knowledge of combustion analysis procedures
  • Knowledge of current plumbing/HVAC/electrical codes
  • Competency cards are a plus (gas, warm air, hot water, or refrigeration)
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
  • Ownership of basic hand tools
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • High integrity team player
  • Overtime is available but not mandatory
  • Comply with background, criminal, and driving record checks

Pay Range:
Up to $40 per hour ($10,000 signing bonus if hired with comp card. Permanent $2/hour increase with each comp card earned.)

Entry-Level Tune-Up Technician

Summary:
This entry level, year-round position provides opportunity for growth and advancement and can be a stepping stone to a service or installer position. You will provide maintenance tune-ups on residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems, boilers, and fireplaces, according to company standards to provide our customers with a high quality experience.

Qualifications:

  • Two years tech school preferred
  • Familiarity with HVAC equipment (two years of experience preferred)
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
  • Ownership of basic hand tools
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Overtime is available but not mandatory
  • Comply with background, criminal, and driving record checks

Pay Range:
Up to $22 per hour
